I wouldn’t call myself a Balmain lover, but I really do like what’s come out in the past year. It’s interesting that many are calling this collection a disappointment and more of the same. What do you think- does this collection feel staid and done before, or has the line found a “look” that works well and is merely remaining true to it?

There were plenty of pretty pieces in this collection, but these stood out as being fresh and perfectly lovely.
One of my favorite collections of the season. I love the idea of deconstructed classic american style. It’s playful and sexy without being blatantly about sex. I can’t wait to see how this trickles down to companies like H&M, Forever 21, and Zara.
There are some really beautiful, wearable pieces in here. A silvery spring jacket? So cool.
